Beacon Unitarian Church welcomes you!
If you are looking for a warm and vibrant community, if you are here to begin a spiritual journey or to deepen your present path, if you have big questions that need complex answers and people to engage with, if you are looking to connect with curious, positive and socially committed people, my hope is that you have found the right place.
Beacon Unitarian has been around for thirty-two years and is part of the world wide Unitarian movement. We are a people moved by compassion to make this world a fairer and more just place for all. We are inspired by many sources, from science to poetry, from the beauty of the natural world to the beauty in courageous action. We are inspired by the thread that weaves through all this diversity.

First Steps: Drop in Sunday Morning
From early September to mid-June, Sunday services are held at 10:30 a.m., at Sapperton Hall, 318 Keary Street, New Westminster, B.C., Canada. Find Us! During the summer months, services are generally held in members’ homes.
We offer a Religious Education program for children aged 4-12 years. Through the program, children are exposed to Unitarian Universalist values as they explore new ideas and concepts. For younger children and infants, childcare is available in the nursery most Sundays. On Sundays when there is nobody available for childcare, parents are welcome to supervise their children in the nursery where there are toys and a sound system.
We also have a Youth Group for ages 13 to 19 that meets the 3rd Friday of the month. Beacon youth are active in social justice projects and are part of CanUUDle, a cross Canada and cross border youth connection, and the Goldmine Youth Leadership Program.
We love to sing! Every service includes music, from congregational hymns to instrumental solos. The Beacon Choir is an integral part of two services a month. Enthusiastic singers are always welcome to join the choir.
