We gratefully accept donations to our church via Interac. Exact steps vary by individual bank or credit union, but the process will always be simple. Just log into your online bank account, navigate to the Interac e-Transfer section and follow the instructions. Please contact our treasurer in advance of making the transfer by using the form on the Contact Us page (scroll down until you see the Treasurer form).

If you prefer to mail in a cheque, please make it out to Beacon Unitarian church and send it to:

Include a one word note as to where the funds should be applied: Beacon (it will be split between Beacon and our sharing the plate recipient), Minister (it will go to Minister’s discretionary fund) or Pledge.

Ten Things You Can Do Today To Leave a Legacy For Beacon

  1. Prepare a will.
  2. Leave a gift in your will for the Beacon Unitarian Church.
  3. Leave a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your assets.
  4. Consider using assets for your legacy gift.
  5. Name Beacon Unitarian Church as a beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF or pension plan.
  6. Name Beacon Unitarian Church as the beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy.
  7. Purchase a new life insurance policy naming Beacon Unitarian Church the beneficiary.
  8. Remember loved ones with memorial gifts to Beacon Unitarian Church their name.
  9. Encourage family and friends to leave gifts to Beacon Unitarian Church their wills.
  10. Ask your financial or estate planning advisor to include charitable giving part of your financial plan.
