Beacon is embracing the future and launching into a great experiment! No one else in Canada and perhaps on the continent has done exactly what we're about to do! As with any journey, we will face uncertainty as we make decisions and choices. It will take collective courage to further develop our inner strength and gain wisdom. Perhaps magic spells, amulets or talismans will help. We will definately need money, a map, and the support of our loyal companions.
Why do we pledge?
We pledge to ensure that Beacon and its resources are here for us and for others, now and in the future. Beacon is completely funded by the generous donations of our members and friends. Our pledge is a promise of what we will donate to Beacon for the upcoming fiscal year (January to December). We pledge now so the treasurer knows what income to expect to prepare a 2027 budget.
How do I pledge?
Please use our fillable 2027 Pledge Form to tell us what you plan to donate to Beacon in 2027 and how you will fulfill your pledge.
You may fulfill your pledge by:
- Pre Authorized Debit (PAD): If you have an ongoing monthly PAD, advise if you will be continuing this support in 2027 including any changes you wish to make. If you do not have a PAD and want to start one, please contact the Treasurer for the form.
- Cheque(s): payable to Beacon Unitarian and mailed to Box 414, 407–552 Clarke Rd, Coquitlam, BC V3J 0A3
- E-transfer(s): please contact the Treasurer for the email address to use.
- Pre-pay: For tax purposes, some people pay their 2027 in full before the end of 2026.
- Donation of securities
Whichever method you choose will be joyfully accommodated!
How much should I pledge?
We place a high value on diversity in our congregation, which includes a range of financial resources and responsibilities. The question of how much to contribute can only be answered by you. The target for our 2027 Pledge Drive is $96,000.
